Gateway Mortgage Group and its leadership believe in the obligation to give back a portion of what you receive. Gateway donates 10 percent of its profits to churches and charitable organizations every year. The donations go to local as well as state and national charities to benefit people all over the world.
One of the projects Gateway has just completed is the building of a school in Northern Nigeria. The name of the school is The Gateway Christian School. It will educate over 300 students in the Nigerian village in which it is located.
Gateway also provides a monthly donation to the Maisha International Orphanage in Kenya. This organization is directed by Beatrice Williamson in Oklahoma City, OK. Through donations from Gateway and others, Beatrice keeps the orphanage running and was able to take a team of Oklahoma University students to Kenya in the summer of 2008. In three weeks, the team was able to visit four different villages and touch over 2000 lives, witnessing countless stories of orphaned children and people infected with HIV-AIDs.
